The Gazafication of Lebanon
In Lebanon, paramedics looking for survivors under the rubble following Israeli air strikes have become a familiar, routine sight.
The pattern is part of what is being called the Gazafication of Lebanon, or Israel using actions normalized by the Gaza genocide.
The targeting of schools in southern Lebanon, just like Gaza. Bombing Lebanese hospitals and clinics, also like Gaza. And the murder of journalists. Then there’s these so-called double tap attacks against paramedics and rescue workers. Hundreds of Palestinian and Lebanese paramedics have been killed with this unlawful practice. And the families wiped out in Lebanon echo the same erasure of Palestinian families in Gaza.
Gazafication extends to the ceasefire too.
The Yellow Line first introduced in Gaza has now swallowed 60 percent of the territory. In Lebanon, the Yellow Line now includes nearly a fifth of the country. Both invisible lines keep expanding.
During the so-called ceasefire, Gazafication is evident in the Israeli Army’s wholesale destruction of Lebanese communities – just as the Israeli Army erased Beit Hanoun, Rafah and others from existence in the past eight months of ceasefire in Gaza.

100 days into the war on Iran, Trump fails to rally US support
Sunday marks 100 days into the war that the United States and Israel launched against Iran.
But as fighting and ceasefire negotiations continue to grind on, the conflict remains overwhelmingly unpopular among the US public, making it a political liability for President Donald Trump and his Republican Party.
“What’s really clear is that few Americans think that this war with Iran serves American interests,” said Shibley Telhami, a professor of peace and development at the University of Maryland, who has conducted polling on the war.

Yemen condemns Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait
Yemen’s Foreign Ministry has released a statement expressing its “strongest condemnation and denunciation” of Iran’s recent attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait.
“The Republic of Yemen affirms that these attacks represent a highly dangerous escalation and once again expose the aggressive and terrorist nature of the Iranian regime,” it said in its statement.
Yemen follows several other Arab countries, including Egypt, Qatar, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and more, in condemning Iran’s attacks on the Gulf states.
“The Republic of Yemen further calls on the international community to take a firm stance against these Iranian attacks and to deter its practices that threaten regional security and sovereignty and undermine international and regional peace and stability”, it added.

Israeli drone strike kills father and son in Gaza City
There has been another Israeli attack on Salah al-Din Street in the Zeitoun neighbourhood on the eastern side of Gaza City.
A father and his son were targeted by a drone missile as they were walking outside their displacement site.
The two were transferred to al-Shifa Hospital, but by the time they got there, they were pronounced dead. Several others were wounded.
This area is adjacent to the “Yellow Line”, where the Israeli military has been aggressively operating, trying to clear not just the physical infrastructure but also people who really have nowhere else to stay. Gaza has been slowly shrinking, too, as Israel has expanded that “Yellow Line”.
This latest assault happened just a couple of hours after an attack on a displacement site in the heart of Gaza City, near a UN school compound, where a tent was targeted by drones, next to a tent where there had been a wedding going on at the time. At least eight people were killed and 15 others wounded in that attack.

WATCH: Lebanese soldiers killed by Israeli strike despite ‘ceasefire’
Israeli forces killed three Lebanese soldiers on Saturday despite a US-brokered ceasefire.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the Israeli strike on army personnel in the south of the country, describing it as “a heinous crime and an attack on Lebanon and all Lebanese people”.
He extended his condolences to the families and colleagues of Brigadier General Wissam Sabra, Captain Elie Khoury and soldier Hussein Ghazal, as well as to the Lebanese army as an institution.
Hezbollah, meanwhile, described the attack as “a deliberate and premeditated crime that adds to the series of crimes the enemy continues to commit against our Lebanese people, particularly in the south and the Western Bekaa”.
