  • Jordan beat Palestine 3-1 in the third round of qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
  • Yazan Al-Naimat scored two goals for Jordan while Noor Al-Rawabdeh also bagged one.
  • Wessam Abou Ali scored Palestine’s only goal.
  • The Group B match was played at the KLFA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, because Palestine cannot host matches due to the war in Gaza.
  • Jordan top the group on account of scoring more goals but have four points along with South Korea, who beat Oman 3-1.
  • Palestine are fifth.

    Jordan go top of Group B

    Jordan surge to the top of Group B with four points after their 3-1 win over Palestine.

    South Korea are in second spot with four points after beating Oman 3-1.

    Iraq and Kuwait occupy the third and fourth spots, respectively, before their match later in the day.

    Palestine are fifth with one point, and Oman are bottom with zero.

    Full-time: Palestine 1-3 Jordan

    Jordan register their first win of the third round of the World Cup qualifiers, beating fellow Arab side Palestine 3-1 in Kuala Lumpur.

    Al-Naimat found the net in the fifth and 50th minute while Al-Rawabdeh scored the third goal in the 72nd to seal the win for Jordan. Abou Ali scored the lone goal for Palestine.

    Jordan were dangerous in attack throughout the game, registering 17 shots with five on target. Palestine had four of their 10 shots on target.

    The loose ball then falls to Olwan at the back post, but his header is also blocked by a Palestine defender.

    Olwan was set up at the back post by Al-Naimat’s cross, but his shot was blocked by Palestine’s Darwish.
