All praise for Bellingham
Tchouameni, who was substituted off in the second half after picking up a knock to the head, provided his thoughts as well: “Jude [Bellingham] is a phenomenal player. He helps us win games all the time – with goals, assists, or just his work.”

‘When those up front activate, anything can happen’
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke after the match as well: “When those up front activate, anything can happen.
“The four [forwards] are very dangerous, that’s quite evident. Everyone can see it – the quality they have.
“It wasn’t necessary to have a fight like that [after the full-time whistle]. In the end, nothing happened, but neither team needed to do it.”

‘We want this [trophy]’
Rodrygo, who supplied the final Real Madrid goal, spoke with Movistar after the match: “It’s always difficult to play against them, but we are ready. We’re doing well and we want this [trophy].
“At the start of the season, he [Jude Bellingham] was having trouble scoring, but he’s always got his head up, training every day to improve and the result of his work is there,” he said.

Madrid set up El Clasico final
As can be the case, the final scoreline does not truly reflect what occurred on the pitch. Mallorca, who kept Madrid out for over an hour of regulation play, finally buckled under the pressure.
Once Bellingham found the opening, Mallorca’s tightly-packed defensive low block began to show signs of wear.
An unfortunate own goal from Valjent sealed his side’s fate, before Rodrygo added another for good measure. In the end, Madrid’s eleven shots on target compared to Mallorca’s zero was the singular statistic that differentiated the sides.
Madrid now set up a Supercup de Espana final showdown with their archrivals, Barcelona, on Sunday, January 12, which Al Jazeera will be covering live starting at 17:00 GMT.
