Goodbye!
That’s it from our live coverage of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup final.
Australia deny India in a final for the third time in a year.
It was a fantastic display from India across the tournament, but the Aussies were clearly the team of the day.
We’ve also got live coverage of Aston Villa against Manchester United now and the final of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2023 to come.
Please check those out if you can – or join us soon for more live action.
For now though – from Manasi Pathak and from, me Kevin Hand – it’s goodbye.

Maphaka is player of the tournament
South Africa left-arm seamer Kwena Maphaka has been named the player of the tournament.
“I put in a lot of work for this and it means a lot to come out and have a good tournament,” he said at the post-match ceremony.

Beardman is the player of the final

“It’s surreal and hasn’t set in yet, but it’s been spectacular,” he said at the post-match ceremony.
“They’ve been incredible this tournament and we knew it was going to be a battle, but the plan was for me to bang it in on a length and hit the top of off stump.”

Fittingly it’s Straker to take the last wicket
A lifting ball tucks up Pandey, who nicks it through to the keeper.
The left-hander falls for two and Tiwari is left unbeaten on 14.

Australia win the World Cup
The Aussies wrap up the win by 79 runs.
- 11 Feb 2024 - 15:27(15:27 GMT)
43 overs. India 174-9
Tiwari is struck on the helmet by Anderson and the physio is needed.
The standard concussion check is made.
It was the fourth dot ball of the over, but two singles follow.
- 11 Feb 2024 - 15:23(15:23 GMT)
42 overs. India 169-9
MacMillan sneaks through a quick over with only two singles conceded.
- 11 Feb 2024 - 15:17(15:17 GMT)
41 overs. India 169-9
India need 85 runs from 54 balls and it surely has to be all over now with only the last pair left.
Australia will certainly hope it doesn’t go as close as their own chase against Pakistan in the semifinal.
- 11 Feb 2024 - 15:16(15:16 GMT)
WICKET! Murugan Abhishek is out! India 168-9
Abhishek was dropped the ball before by Weibgen at point as he cut Vidler.
The next ball is short and a hook is attempted, but the left-hander gets tucked up and skies the ball towards Weibgen, who makes no mistake this time.
That should be there as he falls for 42 from 46 balls.
- 11 Feb 2024 - 15:13(15:13 GMT)
40 overs. India 166-8
Tiwari hits a six.
Having only scored five runs off 22 balls, the lower-order batter thumps MacMillan over the ropes in the final over of powerplay two.
- 11 Feb 2024 - 15:10(15:10 GMT)
39 overs. India 158-9
Just two off the over from Vidler and 96 from 66 is now the equation.
If a few more batters held their heads at the top of the order, the record of the highest chase in a final would have been on.

38 overs. India 156-8
Another boundary in the over for Murugan Abhishek as Straker drops short.
The right-hander backs away and slaps a flat-batted shot back past the bowler.
Three singles off the over otherwise.

37 overs. India 149-8
Two boundaries in the over for Murugan as he swings a full ball from Anderson down the ground.
The next ball drops short as the bowler overcompensates and is pulled for four more.
It’s 13 off the over with three of those runs accounted for by wides.
- 11 Feb 2024 - 14:54(14:54 GMT)
36 overs. India 136-8
A single off the first ball and then only a wide to follow from Straker as Tiwari is struggling to find runs.
He has 2* from 14. Murugan has 22* from 33.
