“It was intense, but it was fun to play in – and to play in this stadium with these fans,” he told TNT Sports.

Sancho, who has struggled at Manchester United, shone in the match having returned to Dortmund on loan.

Fullkrug’s fine finish on the counter separates the sides in an even tie on a night of nonstop attacks and chances for both.
