    Goodbye for now

City make it 20 on the trot as they continue their undefeated run towards a fourth EPL title in a row.

With this result, City now sit on 82 points with a game in hand over Arsenal, who are currently in first place with 83 points.

If they win their final three matches, City are assured the title.

Arsenal will need to win their final two if they are to have a chance at lifting a first EPL title since the famous “Invincibles” season of 2003/04.

We hope you enjoyed our coverage of today’s match, and till the next time, this is Rohan Sharma signing off on behalf of Al Jazeera.

    ‘Destiny is in our hands’

Guardiola spoke with Sky Sports about the result: “In the end we created more chances. In transition we were not as precise. The second and fourth goal were unbelievable. Three games left now [in the season].”

“In the first two positions, De Bruyne could have been more calm [with his passing], but we made goals at the right moments.”

“We were more aggressive in the first half than the second, but Haaland was brilliant.”

“The 20 minutes he [Haaland] played against Nottingham Forest was really good, and today as well. He is not like Julian [Alvarez], Phil [Foden] and Jeremy [Doku].”

“He showed up at the right moment. The effort from Phil and Julian was really good to see. All the players were good.”

“What happened two seasons ago [winning by one point], we have to do the same. We can not draw and the way Arsenal are playing since the winter break has been incredible.”

“We have to win the first and second and then, hopefully, arrive in the last game [and win]. Destiny is in our hands.”

‘My father is going to be happy with that one’

Player of the Match Haaland provides his views: “Last weekend, we got three points. [We have to] keep going and now Fulham is next.

“Not bad, [scoring] 25 goals this season. We have a not-so-bad manager [Guardiola] who pushes me. Look at the players around me. Without them it wouldn’t be possible.

“[I] try to develop every day. [I] focus on the positive things and am looking ahead to the next one. We have three finals left for our season so we are going to go for it.

“Yeah it was a beautiful goal [the second goal]. My father is going to be happy with that one. I enjoyed that one. I am scoring more headers as well. [I am] just trying to develop and keep going,” he told Sky Sports.

3 – Erling Haaland is the third different player to score two first-half hat-tricks in Premier League history (also v Nottingham Forest last season), after Andrew Cole and Michael Owen. Magicians. #MCIWOL

Full-time: Manchester City 5-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Despite winning a last-minute corner, City are unable to make anything of it.

Soon after, the referee blows the whistle to signal full-time.

City come away with a thumping result here at the Etihad as they beat Wolves 5-1 to keep the pressure on Arsenal as we near the end of this title race.

Haaland was simply magnificent with four goals, and he looked hungry for more when he was subbed off rather begrudgingly.
